{"id":7284,"date":"2020-06-15T20:19:53","date_gmt":"2020-06-15T20:19:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=7284"},"modified":"2026-04-24T04:27:22","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T07:27:22","slug":"donaco-bank-deferral","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/donaco-bank-deferral","title":{"rendered":"Donaco lender defers payments"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The casino operator confirms its largest lender has agreed to defer $US5 million principal payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Australia.- Casino operator Donaco International has announced it has received mayor support from its largest lender,&nbsp;Mega International Commercial Bank Co.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company says the bank has agreed to defer its US$5 million principal payment due March 15 to December 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mega Bank has also granted <strong><em>Donaco<\/em><\/strong> a waiver on all June 2020 covenants until the same date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said in a press release: \u201cDonaco welcomes this support from Mega Bank and extends thanks for the consideration given in supporting Donaco as the Company continues to be impacted by COVID-19 related travel restrictions and subsequent reduced patronage at Star Vegas and Aristo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operator said it \u201ccontinues to consider liquidity measures and sources of a capital injection to guarantee the business remains in a sustainable and dynamic position during this period of global uncertainty\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donaco <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/donaco-casinos-continue-closed\">closed its venues in Vietnam and Cambodia<\/a><\/em><\/strong> during the Covid-19 crisis.
