{"id":7053,"date":"2020-06-04T21:29:32","date_gmt":"2020-06-04T21:29:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=7053"},"modified":"2026-04-24T04:41:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T07:41:29","slug":"crown-perth-casinos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/crown-perth-casinos","title":{"rendered":"Crown Perth reopens restaurants but not casino"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This weekend guests and diners will be able to return the Western Australian giant&#8217;s venue but gaming floors will remain closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Australia.- Australia\u2019s gaming giant Crown Perth has announced the reopening of its restaurants this weekend but its casinos will remain closed until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As lockdown restrictions ease in Western Australia, Crown Perth will welcome back diners at its restaurants from Saturday, June 6, but the casinos at Crown Perth and Crown Melbourne will remain closed, including all gaming floors as well as events, conferencing facilities, spas and gyms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said the Crown Towers hotel in Perth was now operating at full capacity and the Crown Metropol was taking bookings for reopening from June 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crown Resorts was severely hit by the Covid-19 restrictions, <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/crown-resorts-stands-down-employees\">standing down over 11,500 employees<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. Not all of them will return to their posts in this partial reopening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief Executive Officer of Australian Resorts, Barry Felstead said: \u201cCovid-19 has delivered incredible challenges for many in the Western Australian tourism and hospitality industries and for our employees who have been incredibly patient during this time.
