Australia.- Australia\u2019s gaming giant Crown Perth has announced the reopening of its restaurants this weekend but its casinos will remain closed until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As lockdown restrictions ease in Western Australia, Crown Perth will welcome back diners at its restaurants from Saturday, June 6, but the casinos at Crown Perth and Crown Melbourne will remain closed, including all gaming floors as well as events, conferencing facilities, spas and gyms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company said the Crown Towers hotel in Perth was now operating at full capacity and the Crown Metropol was taking bookings for reopening from June 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crown Resorts was severely hit by the Covid-19 restrictions, standing down over 11,500 employees<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. Not all of them will return to their posts in this partial reopening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Executive Officer of Australian Resorts, Barry Felstead said: \u201cCovid-19 has delivered incredible challenges for many in the Western Australian tourism and hospitality industries and for our employees who have been incredibly patient during this time. We are grateful for the swift and effective response by the Western Australian government in the handling of this pandemic, which has enabled us to be in a position today when we can announce some of our restaurants and bars are re-opening.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crown Perth has designated a Covid-19 Response Manager to oversee the implementation of precaution measures across the complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its plan includes physical distancing measures, venue capacity reduction, further separation between tables, increased frequency cleaning, contact register requirements and compulsory hand sanitiser use upon entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training for returning staff will be increased, with all employees required to complete the AHA Hospitality & Tourism Covid-19 Hygiene Course and Crown-specific training prior to recommencing work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
