{"id":7044,"date":"2020-06-04T19:51:08","date_gmt":"2020-06-04T19:51:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=7044"},"modified":"2026-04-24T04:42:27","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T07:42:27","slug":"osaka-integrated-resort","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/osaka-integrated-resort","title":{"rendered":"Osaka delays IR deadline again"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The deadline for proposals for the city&#8217;s IR has been put back by a further six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Japan.- The deadline for proposals for what could be Japan\u2019s first integrated resort (IR) casino has been delayed once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osaka city authorities have said the request-for-proposal (RFP) phase has been delayed for another six months, which means the selection of the private partner for the resort will be pushed back to 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osaka&#8217;s mayor Ichiro Matsui said the authorities had amended their timetable for the casino resort and were now aiming for opening in the second half of 2027 at the earliest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/japan-coronavirus-resorts-casino\">not the first time<\/a><\/strong> Osaka\u2019s RFP has been moved back.
