{"id":6977,"date":"2020-06-02T23:42:57","date_gmt":"2020-06-02T23:42:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=6977"},"modified":"2026-04-24T04:45:52","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T07:45:52","slug":"mgm-china-management-leadership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/mgm-china-management-leadership","title":{"rendered":"MGM China prepares new leadership"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Imminent changes in management are being drafted at MGM China as the operator seeks to boost effectiveness when travel restrictions are lifted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>China.- Macau casino operator MGM China plans to execute leadership changes to boost operations once Covid-19 lockdown and traveling restrictions are fully lifted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an internal memo, current managing director Pansy Ho Chiu King said changes in the management team would \u201ctake place shortly, in preparation of a fast recovery once the border restrictions are lifted and for the application of the 2022 gaming license renewal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news follows the <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/mgm-china-ceo-resigns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><em>departure of long-time chief executive<\/em><\/strong> <\/a>Grant Bowie in March. Bowie will continues as advisor to the company until at least December 31, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ho will assume more responsibilities as Co-Chairperson of <strong><em>MGM China<\/em><\/strong>, along with new leaders that will report to her, the memo said, according to GGRAsia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President of hospitality and chief financial officer, Hubert Wang, will now become MGM China\u2019s president and chief operating officer responsible for the oversight of the company\u2019s \u201cbusiness development, casino operations, hospitality, security as well as digital and technology solutions divisions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kenneth Feng (former president and chief strategic officer) will become the company\u2019s president, strategic and chief financial officer overseeing \u201cfinance, human resources, brand marketing, internal audit as well as design, development and property operations divisions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antonio Menano, the company\u2019s secretary and general counsel, will have \u201cadded responsibilities including surveillance and security systems divisions\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Imminent changes in management are being drafted at MGM China as the operator seeks to boost effectiveness when travel restrictions are lifted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":6978,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"MGM China is implementing significant management restructuring, with Pansy Ho Chiu King assuming expanded Co-Chairperson responsibilities, Hubert Wang becoming President & COO, and Kenneth Feng taking on President, Strategic & CFO roles.
