{"id":6125,"date":"2020-04-30T11:21:58","date_gmt":"2020-04-30T11:21:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=6125"},"modified":"2026-04-24T05:36:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T08:36:29","slug":"lotto-new-zealand-reopen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/lotto-new-zealand-reopen","title":{"rendered":"Lotto NZ to partially reopen"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Lotto NZ tickets will be sold in dairies and convenience stores from next week as the country slowly emerges from Covid-19 lockdown measures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>New Zealand.- New Zealand lottery operator Lotto NZ has announced that it will partially reopen this week, with tickets being sold in dairies and convenience stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lotto NZ counters will reopen under Alert Level 3, with the remaining stores needing to stay closed until Alert Level 2 is reached as New Zealand emerges from lCoronavirus lockdown measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ticket sales have been entirely online<em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/new-zealand-lotto-gaming\"> since the beginning of the month<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CEO of Lotto NZ, Chris Lyman, said: &#8220;By safely re-opening some of our retail stores this week we can continue to generate funding for New Zealand communities, many of which will need it now more than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have seen a big increase in customers purchasing their tickets online during the lockdown, which has been fantastic, but sales have decreased which ultimately means less community funding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re really pleased to be able to re-open Lotto counters in some of our stores this week, giving our customers an option to buy their tickets in open stores if they wish.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lotto NZ generates funding to communities in New Zealand, with 100 per cent of profits going to over 3,000 good causes around the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also a significant funder of Sport New Zealand, New Zealand Film Commission and Creative New Zealand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lotto NZ tickets will be sold in dairies and convenience stores from next week as the country slowly emerges from Covid-19 lockdown measures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":4795,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Lotto NZ is partially reinstating retail ticket sales in New Zealand under Alert Level 3, following a period of online-only operations due to COVID-19 lockdowns.
