Australia.- A new AU$ 3.6 billion casino in Brisbane, Australia will feature an estimated 2,500 slot machines according to the Managing Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Queen’s Wharf<\/strong><\/em>, which will open in 2022, will feature 800 more slot machines than the current Brisbane casino license holder, The Treasury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based right next to the Brisbane River, Star Entertainment Group originally won the rights to develop an Integrated Resort back in 2015, while construction began in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Star Queensland Managing Director, Geoff Hogg, confirmed the 800 additional slot machines, while also adding information regarding the future closure of The Treasury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said: “There has been no change to the casino\u2019s licensing conditions, so Brisbane will still be having only one casino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“So when the new Queen’s Wharf development opens, the existing casino will close and the new casino will open.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
