Tokyo 2020 President, Yoshiro Mori, said the Games would be scrapped rather than postponed for a second time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Japan.- The postponed Tokyo Olympic Games<\/strong><\/em> will be cancelled if the global Coronavirus pandemic is not brought under control. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s Olympic Games were postponed until 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But in an interview with Nikkan Sports, Tokyo 2020 President, Yoshiro Mori, said the games would be cancelled rather than postponed for a second time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“No. In that case, the Olympics will be scrapped. We have delayed the Olympics until next summer after we will have won the battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Olympics would be much more valuable than any Olympics in the past if we could go ahead with it after winning this battle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We have to believe this otherwise our hard work and efforts will not be rewarded.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
