Macau.- The Secretary for Economy and Finance, Lei Wai Nong, confirmed the government is working on details for a review of its gaming law and the future process for gaming concession tenders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without providing details on the future gaming license tender, Ho Iat Seng indicated that a public consultation on the revised gaming law would be held by the end of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The whole of Macau is interested in public consultation. We will prepare it well to listen to the whole society,” Secretary for Economy and Finance, Lei Wai Nong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We don\u2019t want just a general view but we want to go into details and the devil is in the details. In the future, we have to know how to establish the relationship with gaming concessionaires, namely in defining rights and duties and in conflict resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We have to have a consistent legal basis to solve conflicts,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Executive noted that elements related to non-gaming activities, social responsibility of gaming concessionaires and support provided by operators in favour of SMEs would also be considered and studied before the public consultation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
