India.- The Indian government has extended the national lockdown until May 3 as the Coronavirus crisis in the country worsens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The announcement was made by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, as as the initial mandated a three-week lockdown, which began on March 25, came to an end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrom the economic angle, we have paid a big price. But the lives of the people of India are far more valuable,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister also noted that he would consider relaxing some restrictions in areas where there are no cases of infection by April 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
