Vietnam.- After Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc warned major cities to prepare for a Coronavirus lockdown, the country’s casinos have now closed their doors.s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have to review and update plans to battle the virus, and have to stand ready for city lockdown scenarios,\u201d Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc told local media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVietnam has entered the pandemic\u2019s peak period, major cities have to speed up and take advantage of each hour and minute to carry out defined measures,\u201d Phuc added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among other measures, the country has stopped public gatherings and non-essential services until April 15th. It has put a halt on inbound flights and restricted domestic movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The government has also mandated the closure of gaming venues, while neighbour countries such as Cambodia are implementing the same measures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite lockdowns in other Asian countries, Singapore\u2019s two IRs remain open, but with severe restrictions in place. Macau also recently reopened all casinos, but its borders are effectively closed to foreign visitors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
