Hong Kong.- Police in Hong Kong have arrested 29 suspects of a gambling racket that operated a network of underground casinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the South China Morning Post, the syndicate was based in Mong Kok and Sham Shui Po and raked in more than HK$14million over the past six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police believe they have broken up a sophisticated network behind underground casinos that used arcade machines for betting games and served those from the criminal underworld. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Sunday, police arrested 28 suspects where two alleged ringleaders were picked up in the syndicate\u2019s Mong Kok command centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then, on Monday, Police arrested a 29th suspect who was also believed to be another ringleader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
