{"id":4688,"date":"2020-03-20T11:19:16","date_gmt":"2020-03-20T11:19:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=4688"},"modified":"2026-04-24T06:55:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T09:55:10","slug":"malaysia-resort-casino-genting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/malaysia-resort-casino-genting","title":{"rendered":"Malaysia: Resort World Genting closes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Resort to close its doors until the end of the month at the earliest due to Coronavirus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Malaysia.- <em><strong>Resorts World Genting has closed its doors<\/strong><\/em> after the government imposed a Movement Control Order yesterday as part of efforts to curb the spread of Coronavirus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFollowing the Movement Control Order announced by the Prime Minister, Resorts World Genting will be temporarily closed from March 18-31,\u201d the company said on its Facebook page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis will include our hotel facilities, food and beverage outlets, casino, Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, entertainment facilities, attractions, shopping malls and retail outlets at Resorts World Genting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mountaintop resort is located in the Genting Highlands, about an hour&#8217;s drive from Kuala Lumpur, at the border between Selangor and Pahang states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said: \u201cAll reservations made for stay at our hotels during this period will be cancelled.
