(PAGCOR)<\/strong><\/em> donating an additional PHP500 million (\u20ac8.6million) to help the government.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-pagcor-gaming-donation\"><em><strong>This is in addition to the PHP2 billion (\u20ac34.7 million) fund that was set up by the regulator last week.<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Andrea D. Domingo said this additional funding will be used for the acquisition of personal protective equipment of healthcare frontliners, additional operating expenses of the Bureau of Quarantine, and support the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, in charge of the tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe number of COVID-19 infected Filipinos is on the rise. But while these numbers are still small compared to other countries, the government is already doing its best to stop the spread of the virus.
