India.-The Royal Western India Turf Club in Mumbai has confirmed that all scheduled races have been suspended until further notice amid the Coronavirus crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“In view of the advisories issued by the government regarding the precautionary measures to be taken for Coronavirus, the Committee of the Royal Western India Turf Club, at its meeting held on Saturday, 14th March 2020 have decided not to conduct racing and off-course betting operations from tomorrow, i.e. Sunday, 15th March 2020 until further notice,” the association said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The committee is hoping to be able to restart races as early as possible in April. The racing season had been scheduled to conclude on April 12,” it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
