Duterte also imposed a \u201ccommunity quarantine\u201d on all of Metro Manila and suspended mass gatherings with punishment under the penal code should the restriction be ignored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Inside Asia Gaming, all school classes in Metro Manila are suspended until 12 April and the government has called for flexible work arrangements in the private sector, with manufacturing and retail businesses encouraged to stay open but with social distancing and a minimal work force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Philippine gaming regulator <strong><em>PAGCOR<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-pagcor-gaming-donation\">has donated<\/a><\/em><\/strong> PHP2 billion (\u20ac34.7 million) to the Office of the President for funding the government\u2019s efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the country.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All domestic air, sea and land transport to and from Manila will be suspended from 15 March to 14 April<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":4395,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"The Philippines has implemented stringent travel restrictions and a community quarantine in Metro Manila from March 15 to April 14 to combat COVID-19, suspending domestic transport and mass gatherings.
