{"id":3774,"date":"2020-02-24T10:22:40","date_gmt":"2020-02-24T10:22:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=3774"},"modified":"2026-04-24T07:37:54","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T10:37:54","slug":"sands-cotai-casinos-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/sands-cotai-casinos-open","title":{"rendered":"Sands Cotai Central to re-open this week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Sands China will reopen the doors to its Sands Cotai Central property from February 27 following Coronavirus closure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Macau.- Sands China has announced that it will resume operations at Sands Cotai Central from February 27. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the Macau Government&#8217;s enforced 15 day casino closure which came to an end on February 20, Sands Cotai Central was one of 12 properties that remained closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our Macau operations, including some of our hotel facilities that had been temporarily closed, are now being gradually reopened in accordance with certain limitations imposed by the Macau Government to safeguard public health and in line with demand,\u201d the Sands China said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sands Cotai Central consists of the Conrad tower, two Sheraton towers and the St. Regis tower, with the property including 399 tables and 1,374 slots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hotels Conrad Macau and St. Regis, both in Sand Cotai Central, are also still temporarily closed according to the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The duration and intensity of this global health emergency and related disruptions is uncertain, including potential broader impacts outside of China if travel and visitation continue to be restricted. Given the dynamic nature of these circumstances, the related impact on our Group\u2019s consolidated results of operations, cash flows and financial condition will be material, but cannot be reasonably estimated at the time of this announcement,&#8221; Sands China explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Despite the current impact from the COVID-19 coronavirus, we look to the future with confidence.
