China.- Sands China Ltd announced that Grant Chum Kwan Lock is the new chief operating officer (COO) of the firm from today. Wilfred Wong Ying Wai remains as Sands China\u2019s president, role he has since November 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chum will be in charge on the day to day operations of the business and he will also be director of various company subsidiaries. He joined the company in July 2013 and worked as senior vice president for global gaming strategy at U.S.-based Las Vegas Sands Corp and then Sands China\u2019s chief of staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before, he worked 14 years at UBS Investment Bank in different roles in Hong Kong and China. Mr Chum was also responsible for Asia gaming equity research from 2006 to 2013 for UBS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the statement published this Friday, Mr Wong will be in charge of helping the company reach \u201cstrategic objectives\u201d in Macau as well as in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dylan James Williams will become Sands China\u2019s general counsel, in addition to his role as company secretary.
