According to officers, those arrested were<strong> <\/strong>playing <strong>mahjong <\/strong>and <strong>tong-its<\/strong>. P3,364 in bet money was seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tarlac police director Colonel <strong>Erwin Sanque<\/strong> told The Inquirer that a series of operations led to the arrests of 72 people suspected of other crimes, including 14 suspected drug dealers and 41 people with arrest warrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-13-arrested-for-illegal-gambling\" target=\"_blank\">police in Tarlac<\/a>&nbsp;arrested&nbsp;<strong>13 people&nbsp;<\/strong>who were allegedly involved in illegal gambling. Officers seized mahjong tiles, Spanish \u201ccuajo\u201d playing cards and PHP25,000 in alleged gambling money. In Manila,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-22-arrested-for-gambling-on-illegal-cockfighting\" target=\"_blank\">police arrested 22 people<\/a>, for allegedly betting on illegal cockfights.
