According to officers,<strong> three men provided gambling services to other 27 people<\/strong> at industrial premises on Senoko Crescent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police say they <strong>seized cash amounting to S$16,345 (US$11,507)<\/strong> along with gaming-related paraphernalia. A conviction for operating an illegal betting business can result in fines between S$200,000 and S$1m, along with up to five years in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Singapore Gambling Regulatory Authority to continue CRA\u2019s work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Teo Chun Ching, chief executive of the new&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-legalises-social-gambling\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gambling Regulatory Authority of Singapore (GRA)<\/a>, has confirmed that the GRA has absorbed work previously carried out by the former Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA). He said the new body will continue the CRA\u2019s work to ensure that \u201cthe harms of casino gambling are kept at bay.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new regulator, which will oversee&nbsp;<strong>the entire gambling landscape<\/strong>&nbsp;in Singapore,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-launches-new-gambling-regulatory-authority\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">was launched in August<\/a>.
