She paid a nominal MOP1.00 (US$0.12) for 300,000 Type B shares on October 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news comes a week after&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/sjm-appoints-daisy-ho-as-managing-director\" target=\"_blank\">Daisy Ho replaced Leong<\/a>&nbsp;to become the official representative of SJM Resorts as the company contends in Macau&#8217;s gaming concessions retender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SJM Resorts&#8217; ordinary shares are divided into two categories, Type A and Type B, representing 90 per cent and 10 per cent equity interests, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In August,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/authorities-approve-sjm-resorts-plan-to-increase-share-capital\" target=\"_blank\">SJM Holdings<\/a><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>confirmed that SJM Resorts\u2019 proposal to issue 7,200,000 additional Type B shares of par value MOP100 each in order&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/sjm-resorts-to-increase-share-capital-to-us618-4m\" target=\"_blank\">to increase its share capital<\/a>&nbsp;had been approved by shareholders and the government of Macau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SJM had said it would increase its \u201cClass B\u201d stake from 10 per cent to 15 per cent of SJM Resorts\u2019 issued share capital as&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macaus-gaming-law-amendment-bill-approved\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Macau\u2019s revised gaming law<\/a>&nbsp;requires at least 15 per cent of gaming concessionaires\u2019 share capital to be held by \u201cmanagers\u201d who are permanent residents of Macau.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daisy Ho has purchased 300,000 shares for a nominal MOP1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":19388,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Daisy Ho has acquired a 10% stake in SJM Resorts from Angela Leong On Kei for a nominal MOP1, following her appointment as SJM Resorts' official representative for the Macau gaming concession retender.
