Although <strong>Tiger Resort Asia Limited (TRA)\u00a0<\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/tral-and-universal-entertainment-retake-control-of-okada-manila\" target=\"_blank\">has <\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/tral-and-universal-entertainment-retake-control-of-okada-manila\" target=\"_blank\">retaken control of Okada Manila\u2019s casino resort<\/a>,\u00a0<strong>Kazuo Okada continues to be recognised on the board <\/strong>in view of an order that temporarily restored him to his position.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When TRLEI announced its\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/trlei-announces-new-pagcor-approved-board-of-directors\" target=\"_blank\">new PAGCOR-approved board of directors<\/a>, it stated: \u201cThe TRLEI Board looks forward to the full resumption of normality at Okada Manila, and looks forward to Mr. Kazuo Okada\u2019s participation in the scheduled Board Meeting in compliance with the SQAO and PAGCOR Order.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Universal Entertainment says Okada did not join the board meeting in person or via video conference. <strong>Hans Van der Sande<\/strong>, TRLEI\u2019s chief financial officer and board director, said that the board meeting was \u201cpeacefully conducted&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said: \u201cIt was a successful exercise of our administrative and operational management to bring the business back into the normal course of operations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On September 9, the Philippine Court of Appeals\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippine-court-rejects-okadas-petition-to-regain-control-of-trlei\" target=\"_blank\">denied a request from Kazuo Okada\u2019s team<\/a>\u00a0to stop the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR) from changing the board composition of Tiger Resorts Asia Ltd (TRAL).
