{"id":32541,"date":"2022-08-11T03:21:09","date_gmt":"2022-08-11T06:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=32541"},"modified":"2026-04-23T06:01:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T09:01:17","slug":"landing-international-expects-to-record-increase-in-revenue-for-h1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/landing-international-expects-to-record-increase-in-revenue-for-h1","title":{"rendered":"Landing International expects to record increase in revenue for H1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Landing International Development expects to record an increase in consolidated revenue of about 45 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>South Korea.-\u00a0<strong>Landing International Development\u00a0<\/strong>has issued a profit warning to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange announcing that it expects to record an increase in consolidated revenue of \u201capproximately 45 per cent\u201d for the first half of the year despite a decline in gaming revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company said its consolidated net loss could decrease by approximately 65 \u200b\u200bto 85 per cent for the six months ended June 30 compared with the same period in 2021. It said the year-over-year improvement was due to\u00a0<strong>higher spending by South Korean customers at its Jeju Shinhwa World resort<\/strong>. It said growth was driven by several marketing campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Landing International also anticipated an increase in residential property sales; a drop in amortisation and depreciation costs; a decline in operating expenses &#8220;resulting from stringent cost controls&#8221;; an increase in investment property fair values; and a potential impact on the recognition of intangible asset impairments and reversal of trade receivable impairments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/landing-international-reports-loss-of-us134-9m-for-2021\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the company<\/a>&nbsp;posted a loss of HKD1.06bn (US$134.9m). Consolidated revenue was up&nbsp;<strong>71.3 per cent year-on-year<\/strong>&nbsp;to HKD1.35bn. However,&nbsp;<strong>gaming-segment revenue was down 52.5 per cent&nbsp;<\/strong>to HKD88.6m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to<strong>&nbsp;the Jeju Tourism Organization<\/strong>, the number of foreign tourists to Jeju Island was 4,574 in May; 5,922 in June; and 3,552 between July 1 and 17.
