Macau.- Sands China has become the latest company to offer economic help in the fight against the Coronavirus, donating MOP25 million (\u20ac2.8 million) to relief efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement, the company explained that the money donated to Chinese and Macau authorities is \u201cto help address the current public health challenges caused by the outbreak of the new coronavirus\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLas Vegas Sands has always considered it an honor to do business in Macau, while recognizing and embracing its important role as a partner in the community, especially in difficult times like this,\u201d Executive Director Sands China, Sheldon Adelson, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe strongly support Macau and mainland China in their efforts to contain the coronavirus and protect their citizens. Our experience is that people in Macau and mainland China are strong and resilient and these characteristics will undoubtedly be needed in the coming days. We will certainly do everything we can to help everything return to normal as soon as possible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On January 29, Melco Resorts, which operates four casinos in the territory, made donation of HK$20 million (\u20ac2.3 million) to Hubei Prevince.
