Police also seized cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to local media, those arrested were from Nepal, Delhi, Gujarat and Uttarakhand, among other places. It&#8217;s reported that those arrested included Kapil and Ravi of Delhi and Piyush Garg of Dehradun, who were suspected of involvement in gambling operations in Dehradun and Goa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A week ago, India hit the headlines after police discovered\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/india-police-bust-fake-cricket-league-betting-racket\" target=\"_blank\">an illegal gambling hub<\/a>\u00a0that faked cricket matches that were broadcast online. In order to make matches look authentic,\u00a0<strong>players wore T-shirts similar to those used in the IPL matches<\/strong>\u00a0and running commentary was used. Players reportedly received a competition fee of Rs 400.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four people were arrested during the raid.
