Chief executive<strong>\u00a0Ho Iat Seng<\/strong>\u00a0has now ordered the shutdown of entertainment, sport and leisure venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The closure will affect cinemas, theatres, indoor playgrounds, internet cafes, massage rooms, beauty salons, gyms and bars among other venues. Restaurants and liquor stores will not be allowed to provide in-restaurant dining services \u2013 only takeaway food.\u00a0<strong>Casinos will remain open<\/strong>\u00a0at least for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry of Health has reported <strong>61 new cases<\/strong> in the last 24 hours, bringing the total cases in this outbreak to 110. Of those cases,\u00a047 people have shown no symptoms so far. Local media has reported that positive cases were detected among workers from the Venetian Macao and the Galaxy Macau casino resorts in Cotai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday it was revealed\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/concern-grows-as-covid-19-cases-in-macau-rise-to-49\" target=\"_blank\">The Hotel and Casino Fortuna has been added to the list of Red Code lockdown areas<\/a>\u00a0after one of the hotel&#8217;s workers reportedly tested positive. A new round of centre-based testing has started today\u00a0and will run until midnight on Friday (June 24).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Macau monthly GGR may fall to 9% of 2019 levels<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sanford C. Bernstein now predicts that this month\u2019s gross gaming revenue (GGR) could be as low as just 9 per cent of 2019 levels. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-ggr-up-24-8-in-may\" target=\"_blank\">Compared to May<\/a>,\u00a0Macau\u2019s GGR would be down by 31 per cent month-on-month.
