SJM Holdings has reached an agreement for Golden Dragon Group to continue operating its casinos until December 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- It’s been confirmed that SJM Holdings and Golden Dragon Group<\/strong>\u00a0have reached an agreement to keep three satellite casinos open until December 31. Golden Dragon group runs\u00a0Casino Golden Dragon, Royal Dragon <\/strong>and Casino Million Dragon<\/strong> as satellite casinos under SJM Holdings\u2019 licence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement comes after\u00a0Emperor Entertainment Hotel Limited renewed its service agreement<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>with SJM Holdings until December 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Dragon’s casinos, which also include the Grand Dragon Casino in Taipa, operated via Melco, together hold 200 gaming tables, accounting for around\u00a021 per cent of the 930 tables\u00a0<\/strong>at Macau\u2019s satellite casinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In March, it had been reported the\u00a0Golden Dragon Group would close<\/a>\u00a0its four satellite casinos when Macau’s casino licences expired this month. However, the current concessions have been extended to the end of the year pending a licence retender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SJM Holdings costs to increase after absorption of satellite casino workers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As previously reported by Focus Gaming News, Fitch Ratings has\u00a0downgraded\u00a0<\/strong>SJM Holdings Limited\u2019s Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating from \u201cBB\u201d to \u201cBB-\u201d due to uncertainty regarding its capacity to return to 2019 levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts reported that SJM Holdings could see its staff costs increase by up to HK$600m(US$76.4m) due to\u00a0its decision to rehire employees<\/a>\u00a0who may be affected by the closure of satellite casinos linked to the company.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
