According to local media, the government will allow the entry of <strong>non-resident employees\u00a0and their families<\/strong> from all countries from June 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June 17, the authorities are expected to provide details on further relaxations of measures to be implemented in the coming weeks. For now, mainland China continues to be the only country to have a\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/covid-19-vaccine-passports-could-speed-up-macau-tourism-recovery\" target=\"_blank\">largely quarantine-free travel bubble<\/a>\u00a0with Macau.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since June 2,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-to-ease-covid-19-test-requirements-from-june-2\" target=\"_blank\">those who want to enter Macau<\/a>\u00a0from mainland China\u2019s Guangdong province have been able to do so if they present\u00a0<strong>a negative Covid-19 test\u00a0<\/strong>issued within the previous seven days. Until then Macau\u2019s Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Center had required a test done within 72 hours of travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news was welcomed by the Macau Government Tourism Office director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes who said the number of visitors could increase&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-could-receive-40000-visitors-per-day-in-june\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">up to 40,000 visitors per day in June<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for <strong>Hong Kong<\/strong>, for the moment authorities there intend to reopen borders with mainland China before doing so with Macau. However, that possibility does not seem likely in the short term as there are several places in China that still have high numbers of Covid-19 cases.
