Australia.- Two more board members are to depart Star Entertainment Group amid the ILGA’s ongoing inquiry into its Sydney casino. Star director of nine years Gerard Bradley has told the inquiry that he will \u201cleave the board within the near term.” Meanwhile, Sally Pitkin has indicated her intention to step down from the Board by the end of the current financial year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest departures follow the\u00a0resignations<\/a>\u00a0of chief financial officer\u00a0Harry Theodore<\/strong>, chief casino officer (NSW)\u00a0Greg Hawkins<\/strong>\u00a0and chief legal and risk officer and company secretary\u00a0Paula Martin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are still more than three months to go in the inquiry into\u00a0The Star Sydney<\/strong>, which has been\u00a0extended until August 31<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Star Entertainment Group has announced it has decided to immediately\u00a0suspend rebate programmes<\/a>\u00a0for both domestic and international players across all its casinos until further notice. It said it has hired external advisors and continues a programme of work on its systems and processes while cooperating with the review.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Star director might have misled shareholders, inquiry hears<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the latest testimonies at the ILGA\u2019s public inquiry into the Star Entertainment Group, Star director Ben Heap,\u00a0was accused of having misled shareholders\u00a0<\/strong>regarding accusations about the company\u2019s links to organised crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Counsel assisting the inquiry Casper Conde asked Heap if he had misled the company\u2019s shareholders<\/strong>.
