{"id":29586,"date":"2022-05-05T07:39:45","date_gmt":"2022-05-05T10:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=29586"},"modified":"2026-04-23T08:59:54","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T11:59:54","slug":"ipi-acting-ceo-accepts-end-of-casino-exclusivity-on-saipan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/ipi-acting-ceo-accepts-end-of-casino-exclusivity-on-saipan","title":{"rendered":"IPI acting CEO accepts end of casino exclusivity on Saipan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tao Xing, IPI\u2019s acting chief executive, has told the Commonwealth Casino Commission he&#8217;s open to the idea of allowing another casino operator on Saipan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Northern Mariana Islands.- During a meeting with members of the Commonwealth Casino Commission (CCC),\u00a0<strong>Tao Xing<\/strong>, the acting chief executive officer of Imperial Pacific International, said that he agreed with the idea of terminating IPI&#8217;s licence exclusivity and allowing another casino on Saipan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The comments may seem unexpected, but Tao Xing said that\u00a0<strong>removing the exclusivity of the casino licence\u00a0<\/strong>was part of the negotiation between the CNMI government and IPI, whose licence is currently suspended due to non-payment of regulatory fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A hearing to define whether Imperial Pacific International\u2019s casino licence will be permanently revoked has been postponed until May 24. Currently, Saipan has only one exclusive casino licence, but in October\u00a0<strong>Ralph N.
