Tan Hee Teck has been with the group since 2004 and has been the president and chief operating officer of the company since 2010.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nominating committee and the board have assessed that Tan Hee Teck has the qualifications and experience to be appointed as the chief executive officer of the company. He was responsible for the successful bidding of\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/resorts-world-sentosa-expansion-plan-to-start-this-quarter\" target=\"_blank\">Resorts World Sentosa<\/a>\u00a0(RWS) in 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest announcement comes after the board <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/genting-singapore-reelects-lim-kok-thay-as-director\" target=\"_blank\">reelected Lim Kok Thay<\/a>\u00a0as executive chairman. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/genting-singapore-second-half-net-profit-down-49\" target=\"_blank\">Genting Singapore Ltd<\/a>\u00a0has reported a strong year-on-year net profit of S$183.3m in 2021, compared with S$69.2m the year before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Genting Singapore to show revenue and profit in 2022, analysts say<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vitaly Umansky<\/strong>, an analyst at Bernstein, has predicted that Genting Singapore will report revenue and profit growth for the remainder of 2022 and into 2023 after Singapore&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-to-reopen-borders-to-fully-vaccinated-travellers-from-april\">reopened its borders to tourism<\/a>&nbsp;for fully vaccinated visitors today (April 1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Growth will, however, be limited as travel restrictions are expected to continue in China, which makes up about 30 per cent of the company\u2019s business.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Genting Singapore&#8217;s board has elected Tan Hee Teck as its new CEO.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":25660,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Tan Hee Teck, a long-standing executive and former COO, has been appointed CEO of Genting Singapore, following his successful oversight of the Resorts World Sentosa bid.
