The proposed development is expected to cost\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagasakis-ir-costs-rise-by-25\" target=\"_blank\">JPY438.3bn (US$3.8bn)<\/a>, including JPY175.3bn in equity costs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/us-real-estate-company-may-be-involved-in-nagasaki-ir-funding\" target=\"_blank\">CBRE Group Inc<\/a>, a US commercial real estate services and investment firm, was reported to be involved in funding the IR project, but the Plan only mentions Nagasaki&#8217;s private sector partner\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagasaki-asks-casinos-austria-to-name-ir-partners\" target=\"_blank\">Casinos Austria International Japan<\/a> as an equity investor. Of the total cost, JPY263bn will come from debt. No mandated lead arrangements have been identified in the published documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Casinos Austria International Japan is expected to complete the financing in April. The Nagasaki Prefectural Government has previously said it expects&nbsp;<strong>the IR to open in 2027&nbsp;<\/strong>and to generate&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nagasaki-expects-annual-ggr-of-us1-37bn-from-its-ir\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">annual gross gaming revenue<\/a>&nbsp;(GGR) of JPY150bn (US$1.37bn), assuming it gains a licence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cities interested in developing an integrated resort must submit an application to the national government before April 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bally\u2019s Corp seeks to enter Japan IR contest with casino resort in Fukuoka<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s been suggested that a new city could enter the contest to develop an integrated resort in Japan. US-based\u00a0<strong>Bally\u2019s Corp<\/strong>\u00a0has revealed it wants to develop an integrated resort in\u00a0<strong>Fukuoka<\/strong>, on the northern shore of Japan\u2019s Kyushu Island. That would mean a fourth location joining Nagasaki, Osaka and Wakayama in a contest\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/japans-ir-implementation-act-to-take-effect-on-july-19\" target=\"_blank\">for up to three IR licences.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bally said it has plans for a&nbsp;<strong>JPY480m (US$3.9bn) IR&nbsp;<\/strong>that would include 2,000 hotel rooms and a 15,000-square-meter (161,459-square-foot) casino.
