According to J.P Morgan, <strong>Resorts World Genting <\/strong>will report a 13 per cent rise in visitation to 5.4 million, and a 17 per cent rise in spending per customer to RM280.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That compares to <strong>4.8 million visitors<\/strong>\u00a0and a spend of RM2.40 per person in 4Q21. J.P Morgan said the increase in lodging options around RWG had driven visitor growth, while RWG&#8217;s outlets were also more expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s estimated that\u00a0<strong>visitor arrivals to Genting\u2019s resort in Malaysia could increase to 23 million\u00a0<\/strong>and 27 million people in the fiscal year 2022 and fiscal year 2023 respectively. In March, the company announced it was going to\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/genting-malaysia-to-increase-capacity-before-borders-reopen\" target=\"_blank\">enhance Resorts World Genting\u2019s operational capacity<\/a>\u00a0to increase productivity and efficiency ahead of the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/malaysia-to-reopen-borders-from-april-1\" target=\"_blank\">reopening of Malaysia&#8217;s borders<\/a>\u00a0for international travellers on April 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the fourth quarter of 2021,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/genting-malaysia-posts-net-profit-of-us29-5m-for-q4\" target=\"_blank\">Genting Malaysia<\/a>\u00a0showed a return to profit of nearly MYR124.1m (US$29.5m) compared to an MYR258.2m loss a year earlier. It attributed the recovery to\u00a0<strong>the easing of travel restrictions and the reopening of borders<\/strong>\u00a0leading to a higher volume of business at Resorts World Genting.
