It said it has received approval from the<strong> Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR)\u00a0<\/strong>to operate eight online live dealer tables (six baccarat and two roulette) and 80 online electronic games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>PIGO\u00a0<\/strong>(Philippine Inland Gaming Operator) system that\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/pagcor-allows-two-more-irs-to-take-online-bets\" target=\"_blank\">allows operators to offer gaming services<\/a>\u00a0to players within the country was announced in late 2020 to help the industry after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. <strong>Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/okada-manilla-gets-permission-to-take-online-bets\" target=\"_blank\">Okada Manila Resort<\/a>\u00a0became the first casino in Manila\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Entertainment City<\/strong>\u00a0to gain approval from PAGCOR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company says it successfully completed a period of simulation tests for the collection of casino taxes and licencing fees, anti-money laundering and other systems. It <strong>expects Okada to be allowed to run 16 live online gaming tables<\/strong> \u2013 14 baccarat and two roulette \u2013and 150 machines by the end of April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Okada Manila posts GGR of US$115.7m for Q1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In its financial results for the first quarter, <strong>Universal Entertainment Corp<\/strong>\u00a0reported that Okada Manila\u2019s\u00a0<strong>gross gambling revenue declined 14.1 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0quarter-on-quarter to PHP6.02bn (US$115.7m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first-quarter results came after&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/okada-manila-posts-ggr-of-us137m-for-q4\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">two consecutive quarters of consecutive GGR<\/a>&nbsp;growth for the property. For the three months ended March 31, GGR from VIP table games was PHP2.54bn, down 32.6 per cent month-on-month. Mass table gaming revenue was PHP1.53bn, compared to PHP1.34bn in the previous quarter, while gaming revenue was about PHP1.95bn, up 2.6 per cent sequentially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Okada Manila also reported PHP356m in other revenue, including hotel and retail revenue.
