Wakayama City Council is scheduled to\u00a0<strong>vote on the document on March 30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final version of the Wakayama plan is largely based on a draft the prefecture released on February 9. The prefecture&#8217;s chosen private sector partner,\u00a0<strong>Clairvest Neem Ventures,\u00a0<\/strong>will raise JPY470bn (US$4.09bn) to invest in the integrated resort, which the prefectural government hopes will be\u00a0<strong>open by 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cities and prefectures interested in developing an integrated resort have until April 28 2022 to submit their final project proposals.\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/japan-opens-application-period-for-ir-submissions-until-april-2022\" target=\"_blank\">Up to three integrated resort licences<\/a>\u00a0will be allowed across the country under the existing liberalization plan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nagasaki and&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/osaka-prefectural-assembly-approves-ir-plans\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Osaka<\/a>&nbsp;are also currently likely to submit corresponding applications &#8211; in the form of so-called IR District Development Plans &#8211; for casino resorts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Wakayama Prefectural Government has shared the final version of its District Development Plan for an integrated resort in the city.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":26757,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"The Wakayama Prefectural Government has released the final version of its Integrated Resort District Development Plan, detailing a JPY470bn investment by Clairvest Neem Ventures for a proposed 2026 opening.
