According to\u00a0<strong>Macau\u2019s Financial Services Bureau<\/strong>, the figure was down 9.4 per cent when compared to the first two months of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities have forecast revenue from direct taxes on gaming at MOP33.91bn (US$4.22bn) for 2022. In 2021, the government collected nearly\u00a0<strong>MOP33.9bn (US$4.22bn)<\/strong>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-gaming-tax-revenue-increases-13-year-on-year-in-2021\" target=\"_blank\">a 13.8 per cent increase<\/a>\u00a0year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January, the government collected MOP3.26bn in gaming taxes payable by the industry while in February the figure was a quarter lower at MOP2.47bn.
