Local authorities will also remove all\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/vaccinated-travel-lanes-offer-path-to-recovery-for-marina-bay-sands\" target=\"_blank\">existing vaccinated travel lanes (VTL)<\/a>\u00a0and unilateral opening arrangements from April 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Lee Hsien Loong,\u00a0<strong>arrivals from abroad make up a very small proportion of new Covid-19 cases<\/strong>. He said: &#8220;We can therefore safely open up our borders. We will drastically streamline testing and quarantine requirements for travellers.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The prime minister said the measure will &#8220;reconnect Singapore with the world; it will give a much-needed boost to businesses, particularly the tourism sector.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From April 1, those who have been fully vaccinated will be allowed to enter Singapore with\u00a0<strong>only a pre-departure negative <strong>Covid-19<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>test result<\/strong>. There will be no more quotas on the number of daily arrivals.
