Northern Mariana Islands.- The US Marshals Service<\/strong> has seized $9,386.66 from\u00a0IPI<\/a>‘s Saipan bank account by writ of execution in order to comply with a judgment on behalf of Red Coral Corporation. Red Coral, represented by attorney Colin Thompson, had sued IPI for failing to pay leases on a 20-unit apartment complex between January 2019 and August 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saipan Bank received\u00a0a writ of execution issued by the District Court for NMI ordering the seizure of funds\u00a0deposited by IPI into its Saipan Bank accounts.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, Imperial Pacific International (IPI)\u00a0<\/strong>paid its workers in Garapan after a week’s delay. IPI\u2019s employees, including eight administrative staff and 17 security guards, were due to be paid on February 25, but\u00a0IPI issued a notice<\/a>\u00a0informing them that due to challenges, payroll payments for the period from February 7 to 20 were going to be delayed until further notice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
