Macau.- In order to continue encouraging people to get vaccinated, Melco Resorts has announced it will offer special paid leave for workers who need to accompany children and elderly parents for Covid-19 vaccination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lawrence Ho, Melco Resorts CEO<\/strong>, said: “The health and safety of our Colleagues, community and customers are of paramount priority.\u00a0To encourage the vaccination of children and elderly parents of our Colleagues, we will be giving paid special days off for our Colleagues to accompany their children and elderly parents to get vaccinated.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n By the end of 2021, Melco’s vaccination coverage in Macau was close to 95 per cent. The casino operator had offered MOP16m in incentives, including a lottery for all eligible and fully vaccinated employees, with six employees each winning MOP1m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At last count, 520,702 people or about 76 per cent of the Macau’s population had received at least one dose\u00a0of the Covid-19 vaccine.
