The Australia-based slot machine manufacturer has announced the resignation of director Steve Morro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Australia.- Slot machine manufacturer, Aristocrat Leisure Ltd, has announced that Steve Morro, its long-serving non-executive director, has resigned from the board and will take retirement following the company’s annual general meeting on February 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He will remain linked to the group as a consultant to management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAfter more than a decade of service, Mr. Morro has confirmed his intention to retire as a director of Aristocrat,\u201d company Chairman Neil Chatfield said in a notice to shareholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSteve has made an outstanding contribution to both the board and the business, including through its turnaround years and subsequent growth. Steve has brought deep U.S. market and global gaming industry-expertise to the board\u2019s deliberations, which we value greatly”, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Morro joined Aristocrat\u2019s board in 2009. He also has been Chief Operating Officer of casino equipment brand International Gaming Technology (IGT) and President of IGT\u2019s gaming division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among other board and management moves, it is expected that non-executive director Pat Ramsey will assume the role of \u201cUSA lead director\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of what Mr Chatfield called \u201can orderly renewal process\u201d of Aristocrat\u2019s board, shareholders will be asked on February 20 to approve the appointment of Philippe Etienne to the company\u2019s board as a non-executive director.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
