Michael Issenberg, the current chairman of Tourism Australia, has joined the board of Australia\u2019s Star Entertainment Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Australia.- Star Entertainment Group<\/strong> has announced the appointment of Michael Issenberg<\/strong> as a non-executive director subject to regulatory approvals being obtained. Issenberg<\/strong> has been chairman of Tourism Australia<\/strong> since October 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n An experienced executive and director with over 30 years experience in the hotel industry, he is also chairman of Reef Corporate Services Limited<\/strong>, the company responsible for Reef Casino Trust.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Previously, he held executive roles with AccorHotels for over 25 years, most recently as chairman and CEO of AccorHotels Asia Pacific. Issenberg was formerly CEO of Mirvac Hotels, following a career that took him through Westin Hotels and Resorts, Laventhol & Horwath, and Horwath & Horwath Services in San Francisco and Sydney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Star chairman John O\u2019Neill<\/strong>, said: \u201cMichael has impeccable credentials and extensive experience across the hotel industry. His appointment provides a valuable and complementary addition to the Board as The Star continues developing and transforming our world-class properties.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Issenberg holds a degree in hotel administration from Cornell University, USA and is a Lifetime Member of the Cornell Hotel Society.
