Through a statement, the ministry recalled the action it had taken in 2021 and said it would continue the policy this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the strategy, China has said it will \u201cblacklist overseas institutions and individuals that support gambling groups\u201d and suppress channels for gambling capital transfers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The press release from China\u2019s Ministry of Public Security was shared after a meeting of leading officials and Chinese state councillors. The gathering was said to have focused on an action plan for 2022 on <strong>cross-border gambling<\/strong> either involving or aimed at, mainland residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China plans to work with international law enforcement bodies and push for \u201cjoint crackdown\u201d action with other countries so that cross-border gambling groups that targeted mainland Chinese nationals could receive \u201csevere punishment\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They added that <strong>public awareness <\/strong>concerning the fight against gambling should be increased and said that China&#8217;s <strong>blacklist system<\/strong> will be updated to target certain jurisdictions that solicited mainland Chinese gamblers.
