Sega Sammy<\/a>\u00a0has forecast its results for the year ending March 31, 2022, predicting net sales of JPY315bn (US$2.7bn). That’s an increase of 3.3 per cent from the previous forecast of JPY305bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\nPredicted operating income has also been revised upwards, from JPY23bn to JPY31bn. Profit attributable to owners of the parent company is forecast to come in at 76.7 per cent above the previous forecast, at JPY26.5bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sega Sammy said it had raised its sales forecast for its pachinko and pachinko business\u00a0to 73,000 units from an earlier forecast of 67,000 units due to improved parts procurement and other factors. It also noted that fixed costs remain low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It noted that net sales and ordinary revenue for its entertainment content business will be higher than previously forecast due to the strong performance of its new full game in the consumer market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the nine-month period ended December 31, 2021, the company reported sales of JPY236.75bn (US$2.04bn).
