It recently opened its new outdoor theme park,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/genting-skyworlds-to-launch-next-week.\" target=\"_blank\">Genting SkyWorlds<\/a>. The\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/resorts-world-genting-allowed-to-reopen-with-limited-capacity\" target=\"_blank\">casino venue reopened<\/a>\u00a0on a limited basis in October 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s estimated that visitor arrivals to Genting\u2019s resort in Malaysia could increase to 23 million and 27 million people in the fiscal year 2022 and fiscal year 2023 respectively.&nbsp;<strong>Before the Covid-19 pandemic, 29 million people visited in the fiscal year 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Muhyiddin Yassin, former Prime Minister<\/strong>, said: &#8220;It was recommended by the NRC that the country\u2019s borders be fully opened in the due time to support the nation\u2019s recovery.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that under the scheme, travellers will still need to undergo Covid-19 negative tests before and after arrival.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Authorities in Malaysia are analysing the possibility of reopening to international travellers from March 1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":17061,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Malaysia's National Recovery Council has proposed a full border reopening to international travelers from March 1, 2022, without mandatory quarantine, subject to pre- and post-arrival COVID-19 testing.
