Northern Mariana Islands.- Imperial Pacific International<\/strong> has confirmed that Ray Yumul has decided to step down as chief executive officer. According to a statement released by the company, Yumul has resigned effective Tuesday, February 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The company said: \u201cWe are grateful for the contributions he had made during his tenure and we wish him the best in his future endeavours.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is unknown who will take his place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n IPI is being sued by Turkish construction workers<\/a> who are demanding an unspecified amount of damages and a jury trial after accusing the company of discrimination. The plaintiffs, \u00d6zcan Gen\u00e7, Hasan G\u00f6k\u00e7e, and S\u00fcleyman K\u00f6\u015f, claim through attorney Richard Miller that IPI committed discrimination due to their nationality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The three Turkish workers filed discrimination complaints with the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which issued a Notice of Right to Prosecute in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last year, Imperial Pacific International\u2019s (IPI)<\/strong> gaming licence was suspended<\/a> indefinitely as the operator failed to comply with regulatory orders.
