The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) attributes the fall to a rise in Covid-19 cases in the cities of Zhuhai and Zhongshan in neighbouring Guangdong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since January 29, people intending to transit through Zhuhai need to hold a negative nucleic acid test certificate for Covid-19 issued within 48 hours. The previous requirement was 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Macau health authorities have added <strong>more locations in mainland Chinese provinces\u00a0<\/strong>to the list of places from which passengers must undergo quarantine upon arrival in Macau. Quarantine requirements also include departing passengers from multiple locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mainland China continues to be the only country to have a&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/covid-19-vaccine-passports-could-speed-up-macau-tourism-recovery\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">largely quarantine-free travel bubble<\/a>&nbsp;with Macau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Macau expects 20,000 daily visitors for Chinese New Year<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A representative of the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has told local media he expects Macau to receive 20,000 daily visitors&nbsp;<strong>during the Chinese New Year Golden Week<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year the Chinese New Year period will be between February 1 and February 3.
