The move aims to generate foreign exchange earnings and cash flow as its pachinko business continues to suffer from the Covid-19 crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/okura-holdings-permanently-closes-two-pachinko-venues\">closed two pachinko parlours last May<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/okura-holdings-closes-three-more-pachinko-parlours\">three venues last September<\/a>\u00a0due to the crisis in the sector.\u00a0At the time, Okura Holdings said the closure was to allow a\u00a0<strong>focus on better-performing outlets.\u00a0<\/strong>The company now has\u00a0<strong>12 Pachinko Venues<\/strong>, most of them located in Nagasaki Prefecture.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The issuer of the bonds is Sinwa. Okura first subscribed for the bonds in 2018. The company paid\u00a0<strong>3 per cent interest for the first two years<\/strong>\u00a0and 4 per cent interest each year thereafter.\u00a0Okura said it expects to receive JPY20m in interest on both the fourth and fifth interest payment dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/okura-holdings-revenue-down-23-1-for-fy21\">Okura Holdings<\/a>\u00a0announced financial results for the Fiscal Year 2021, reporting that revenue was down 23.1 per cent to JPY5.4bn (UD$48.5m). The company\u00a0<strong>posted a loss of JPY577m (US$5.18m)<\/strong>, down from JPY6.3bn (US$56.59m) in the previous fiscal year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interest in pachinko games has been declining due to the development of online games.
