Police say three men are suspected of being bookmakers and eleven of betting. A woman who is being investigated for an offence under the Remote Gambling Act. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those being investigated are aged between 38 and 86 years old. Police seized two mobile phones, cash and gambling-related paraphernalia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few days ago,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-43-arrested-for-illegal-gambling-activities\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">police in Singapore<\/a>&nbsp;reported<strong>&nbsp;that 43 people between the ages of 22 and 81 were arrested<\/strong>&nbsp;on suspicion of engaging in illegal gambling activities in a series of raids conducted between November 20 and January 4. Those arrested were 30 men and 13 women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On December 15 2021,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-19-investigated-for-illegal-gambling\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">officers also carried out a raid<\/a>&nbsp;and found 21 people at a residential unit in Toh Crescent in Loyang.&nbsp;<strong>Police arrested 13 people for violating the \u201cForeign Workers Employment Law\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;and for conducting illegal gambling activities. Police seized a poker table and other gambling equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore&#8217;s gaming laws establish<strong>\u00a0anyone caught gambling can be fined a minimum of S$20,000<\/strong>\u00a0and jailed for up to five years.
