Macau.- Mass-market games, including slot machines, accounted for\u00a074.3 per cent of Macau’s GGR in the fourth quarter of 2021<\/strong>, at nearly MOP14.18bn (US$1.77bn), according to figures released by Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n VIP baccarat, which accounted for nearly half of Macau\u2019s GGR in 2019, represented just 25.7 per cent of GGR between October and December 2021, at just under MOP4.9bn.\u00a0VIP revenue declined 17.8 per cent quarter-on-quarter<\/strong>, while mass-market baccarat revenue increased 12.3 per cent quarter-on-quarter to account for 62.2 per cent of gross gaming revenue<\/strong> at MOP11.87bn. Slot machines accounted for 6.0 per cent of GGR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Macau reported full-year GGR of MOP86.86bn (US$10.82bn) in 2021. VIP revenue accounted for nearly 32.8 per cent of total at MOP28.49bn, down from 43.5 per cent in the previous year. In the third quarter, the VIP segment had accounted for 31.8 per cent of all casino GGR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The VIP segment has recently faced further commercial pressures due to a combination of regulatory and pandemic-related factors.
