The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/metro-manila-casinos-to-close-until-at-least-january-15\">restrictions<\/a>&nbsp;were announced at the beginning of the new year after a rise in cases, including the detection of three local cases of the Omicron variant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The government of The Philippines&nbsp;<\/strong>had previously decided to keep the country&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-to-remain-at-alert-level-2-until-december-31\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">under Alert Level 2<\/a>&nbsp;until the end of last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/manila-casinos-continue-operating-despite-new-covid-19-countermeasures\">Casinos will continue to operate<\/a>&nbsp;but on a limited basis and only customers who have been fully vaccinated will be allowed to enter.
