{"id":26213,"date":"2022-01-13T06:34:56","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T09:34:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=26213"},"modified":"2026-04-23T12:19:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T15:19:09","slug":"crown-resorts-receives-a-new-offer-from-blackstone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/crown-resorts-receives-a-new-offer-from-blackstone","title":{"rendered":"Crown Resorts receives a new offer from Blackstone"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Blackstone Group Inc. has increased its latest offer from AU$12.50 (US$9.11) to AU$13.10 (US$9.55) cash per share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Australia.- Crown Resorts has announced through a press release it has received<strong>&nbsp;a new revised non-binding proposal from Blackstone Inc<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company plans to&nbsp;<strong>acquire all of the shares in Crown&nbsp;<\/strong>by way of a scheme of arrangement at a price of AU$13.10 (US$9.55) cash per share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This represents an increase of $0.60 cash per share compared to the previous offer price of&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/crown-receives-new-acquisition-offer-from-blackstone\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AU$12.50 cash (US$9.11) made last November<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company has revealed that<strong>&nbsp;the Crown Board considers that it is in the interests of Crown\u2019s shareholders to engage further with Blackstone<\/strong>&nbsp;on a non-exclusive basis in relation to the Revised Proposal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It then stated: &#8220;It is the Crown Board&#8217;s current unanimous intention to recommend that\u00a0<strong>shareholders vote in favour of the proposal\u00a0<\/strong>in the absence of a superior proposal and subject to an independent expert concluding (and continuing to conclude) that the proposed transaction is in the best interests of Crown shareholders.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement added: &#8220;Crown will engage with relevant stakeholders including regulatory authorities and shareholders prior to the execution of any binding Implementation Agreement.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/blackstone-makes-au8bn-offer-to-acquire-crown-resorts\">Blackstone<\/a>, which already has a 10 per cent holding in Crown, made its first offer last March offering<strong>\u00a0AU$11.85 cash per share<\/strong>.
